Registered Dental Hygienist

MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS This position requires an individual with a passion for oral hygiene and a desire to improve the health of patients. A successful candidate will utilize their experience and education to provide effective dental hygiene treatments and support patients' oral health within a diverse group of patients from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, experience working in a diverse environment, and a willingness to perform administrative tasks. Responsibilities: - Monitor and provide dental hygiene education to patients - Educate patients about oral health and disease prevention - Maintain accurate patient records including scannings and regular probings - Schedule appointments - Posting treatment - Be proficient with dental software programs - Take digital x-rays, sterilize equipment and take intraoral pictures - Call patients if they are running late - Book overdue patients - Make care calls - Digital scanning capability and laser certification would be an asset Qualifications: - Registered Dental Hygienist - CPR/AED certified
